LEADERSHIP TRAINING
The Educational Foundation for Women in Accounting has a long-standing commitment to keep members of the accounting profession up to date on the latest trends in the business environment. For many years EFWA has offered the Leadership Training Series (LTS), a series of professionally prepared workshops, for use at national and regional accounting conferences as well as in corporate settings for in-house training.
Through a collaborative agreement with the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), these courses, along with many other leadership courses, are being offered through the IMA's Leadership Academy. This unique collaboration between two organizations in the accounting profession allows EFWA to provide greater focus on its scholarships as IMA focuses on developing leaders in the accounting and finance fields.
Course attendees are made aware of the EFWA scholarship programs through the distribution of marketing materials which encourage attendees to make contributions to EFWA for these life-changing scholarships. Additionally, IMA has provided funding to develop its own scholarships under EFWA, the IMA Masters and the IMA Undergraduate scholarships.

IMA Leadership Academy courses, focused on leadership training topics, are offered in a variety of venues from webinars to instructor-led courses and workshops. Some of the courses currently being offered are:
Coaching
Delegation
Facilitation
Goal Setting and Career Planning
Leadership
Male/Female Communication
Managing Change
Mentoring
Personal and Professional Life Balance
Presentation Skills
Problem Solving
Team Building
